Shifting files to the child theme

Hi,
Is there a possible way to shift the parent theme files to the child theme as I have made the entire wordpress website on the parent theme and i just got to know about the use of a child theme. If I want to make any changes it’s better that i do on the child theme. So please let me know how i can do this.

Hi you,

Child-theme allows you to overwrite some files from the template-parts folder and the woocommerce folder. Not all files in the main theme work in child-theme.

– Some functions allow overriding, others allow add_filter and add_action to custom locations, all these functions are written in functions.php file
– Custom CSS is written in style.css file
